The Land of Enchantment... Here's Your Invitation The Community – Chinle, AZ This opportunity is in Northern Arizona where Hopi and Navajo Nation meet. If you like the outdoors and are fascinated by Native culture, this assignment is for you. You will be working five minutes from Canyon de Chelly, one of the largest, and most significant archaeological preserves in the U.S. And if you are not fascinated by the 5,000-year history of the park, you will be stunned by its red rock formations and wooded, red-floored canyons. Meanwhile, you will be within driving distance of five other National Parks including the Grand Canyon. You won't want to miss the Hubble Trading Post where Navajo and Hope traded wool blankets for pesh-tai, tokens they could use to buy other goods. It has been essentially unchanged since 1883. More importantly, you will be alleviating the health care shortage in one of the most underserved regions in the U.S. Navajo and Hope are 5-6 times more likely to suffer from debilitating chronic health conditions due to poor living conditions and lack of access to care.

Airport Information: Albuquerque International Sunport The Albuquerque International Sunport, known for its distinct southwestern architecture and cultural décor, is New Mexico's largest commercial airport, welcoming over 5 million passengers each year. The Sunport boasts a world-class art collection, unique amenities, New Mexican cuisine, and many local artisanal gifts. approximately 5 miles southeast of downtown. About the Facility: Tsaile Health Center This facility is located in Northeast Arizona as part of the Chinle Service Unit. It is an ambulatory care center and is situated at the base of the Lukachukai Mountain range with local elevations of 7,000 to 8,000 feet. Two lakes are within 10-15 minutes and offer camping, fishing, and non-motorized boating. The Tsaile Health Center has 9,031 registered clients. Clinic hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday (closed on holidays). The clinic is located on the Colorado Plateau with excellent opportunities for photography, hiking, running, road biking, cross-country skiing, and mountain biking. Canyon de Chelly National Monument is within 30 miles of the clinic and is a wonderful place for exploring and sightseeing, running and mountain biking. Registered Nurse - Responsibilities (listed are included but not limited to)

• The Registered Nurse provides direct patient care for outpatient patients of all ages.
• Perform dressing changes, assist with ambulation, and support activities of daily living.
• Administer prescribed medications and vaccines.
• The Registered Nurse performs respiratory treatments, oxygen therapy, and fit assistive devices like splints or durable medical equipment.
• Perform urinary catheter placements, collect tissue and biological samples, venipuncture for blood samples, and assist in setting up minor procedures using aseptic techniques.
• Initiate treatments, administer medications, and perform emergency and resuscitative measures.
• The Registered Nurse consults with primary care providers and other healthcare professionals to coordinate diagnostic and therapeutic regimens for patients.

Registered Nurse - Requirements

• Education: Must have completed an accredited nursing program at the associate or bachelor's level.
• Licensure: Must possess a current, valid, unrestricted nursing license in a state, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a Territory of the United States.
• Certification: Valid American Heart Association certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
• Experience: A minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience, additional urgent care experience a plus.
