Support the implementation of new products, product enhancements, and pricing methodologies within actuarial models. Perform profitability analyses for new products and pricing initiatives. Develop and enhance profitability models, analytical tools, and reporting capabilities across Statutory, GAAP, and economic frameworks to support product evaluation and business decision-making.Pricing Infrastructure & DocumentationDevelop, maintain, and enhance the Pricing SharePoint site as the central repository for pricing models, methodologies, assumptions, documentation, and other actuarial resources to support knowledge sharing, consistency, and model governance. Contribute to the continuous improvement of pricing tools, analytical processes, documentation standards, and knowledge management practices.Automated Underwriting & Predictive AnalyticsSupport the monitoring, analysis, and optimization of automated underwriting (AU) performance, including metric projection, sensitivity testing, and evaluation of program updates to balance efficiency gains and mortality outcomes. Contribute to AU development and governance activities, including data preparation, model and algorithm development, program design, coding/testing, documentation, and support for audits, ERM, and model validation. Monitor emerging mortality experience and recommend enhancements to the AU program, communicating insights effectively to stakeholders. Provide technical expertise and oversight for predictive analytics models that support underwriting decisions and life insurance assumption development.Skills & RequirementsBachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or a related quantitative discipline.Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA).10+ years of actuarial experience in life insurance pricing, product development, or a related actuarial function.Strong knowledge of life insurance products (IUL, Term and WL), pricing methodologies, profitability analysis, and actuarial assumptions.Experience developing and maintaining actuarial pricing models. Direct experience with model conversions preferred.Experience with actuarial modeling platforms (Prophet required) and proficiency with analytical tools such as Excel, VBA, SQL, Python, or R. Expert level R or Python programming skills, including large-scale data preparation, feature engineering, predictive modeling and analysis in support of complex problem solving.Strong background in predictive analytics, including direct experience applying predictive analytics models to solve a variety of problems for the life insurance business. Experience using GitHub or similar tool for code management, version control, documentation, and collaborative development.Knowledge of PBR concepts, especially with regards to VM-20 assumption setting.Broad background working across the life insurance business preferred, including experience collaborating across departments such as underwriting, valuation, experience studies, etc.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to independently perform complex actuarial analyses and collaborate effectively across functions.CompensationThe anticipated salary range for this position is $150,000 to $200,000 at the commencement of employment. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range.
