Pay: $13.50 –$15.50 per hour based on experience and credentials

Shifts Available: 1st Shift Part Time. Part-time positions available.

Position Purpose: The Porter supports residents and care staff through non-clinical assistance. This position helps to enhance the overall resident experience while maintaining dignity and respect, assisting each resident to be as independent and self-sufficient as possible.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to read, write and carry out directions in English
• Minimum of 16 years of age
• Must be able to pass the state mandated criminal background screening and pre-employment drug screening for illegal substances

Essential Functions:

• Deliver items such as meals, mail, water, linens, and packages
• Escort residents to meals and activities
• Assist with dining service (set up, beverages, clearing tables)
• Provide companionship and one-on-one visits as directed
• Complete light housekeeping (beds, linens, trash, laundry support)
• Observe and report changes in residents’ condition to supervisor
• Assist residents with meals and life enrichment activities as needed

Physical and Mental Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and assist residents in all aspects of personal care.
• Handle emotional and physical demands of caregiving
