- Performing comprehensive evaluations, ordering necessary tests, and creating tailored care strategies
- Diagnosing and addressing various health concerns in coordination with physicians or independently (as per your qualifications)
- Instructing patients and families about health maintenance, prevention, and managing illnesses
- Prescribing medications and treatments within the authorized scope
- Engaging in patient follow-ups and chronic care programming
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care
- Accurately documenting patient interactions and progress using electronic medical records (EMR)
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree
- Graduate from a recognized Nurse Practitioner program
- Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in Texas
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or commitment to obtain within 90 days)
- Exceptional clinical judgment alongside an empathetic approach
- Strong communication abilities with patients, support staff, and clinical teams
- Flexibility in dynamic, patient-focused settings
- Proficiency in EMR systems and familiarity with telehealth solutions
