Tindell's Building Products Sales AssociateThis position will start out at an hourly rate of $18/hr. Once fully trained in the position, base pay will be $17/hr. and you will begin earning commission on sales as well as your base rate.Tindell's is an industry-leading manufacturer of building products and innovative solutions. Supports store operations by maintaining merchandise displays, inventory organization, and a clean, professional shopping environment while promoting customer satisfaction and repeat business.Responsibilities:Provide prompt, professional service to customers by assisting with product selection, pricing, availability, quotes, estimates, sales orders, and related product recommendations.Maintain current knowledge of products, pricing, applications, and industry trends while promoting customer satisfaction through effective communication and problem resolution.Sales Transactions & Store Operations:Process sales transactions, refunds, credits, and related documentation in accordance with company procedures.Support inventory management and store operations by maintaining accurate records, stocking merchandise, maintaining displays, and ensuring assigned areas remain clean and organized.Team Support:Work cooperatively with supervisors and coworkers to support store goals, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.Comply with company policies, procedures, and dress code requirements while assisting with additional duties and special projects as assigned.Education:High school diploma or GED required.Experience:Minimum of one (1) year of retail sales or customer service experience preferred.Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, read orders, complete forms, and follow instructions.Ability to communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, and supervisors using verbal and written communication skills.Strong interpersonal, customer service, and professional communication skills.Knowledge of safe lifting techniques and material handling practices.Ability to learn and maintain knowledge of building materials and related products.Physical Demands:Ability to stand for extended periods of time.Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 90 pounds.Ability to reach overhead, bend, stoop, squat, and perform repetitive movements as required.Manual dexterity sufficient to operate office and retail equipment.Working Conditions:Work performed primarily indoors in a controlled environment.Frequent interaction with customers and operation of office and retail equipment.Other Duties:This job description is not intended to be a comprehensive list of all duties, responsibilities, or activities associated with the position.
