RN In Progressive Care Unit

Job Title: RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum years of experience required in PCU/Stepdown level care License: Current RN license in good standing Certifications: BLS and ACLS certifications required Must-Have: Experience with tracheostomies, endotracheal tube management, and medication drips Description: This position is located in a Respiratory Intermediate Care Unit. The unit operates with a 3:1 patient-to-nurse ratio. It manages fresh tracheostomies, levophed administration, stable intubations with mild sedation, and diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA). This is a designated PCU/Stepdown unit. The shift is 12 hours during the night. Every other weekend and holiday coverage is required based on unit needs. Staffing is assessed every four hours, and staff may be floated as necessary. The ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment is essential. Strong communication and teamwork skills are necessary for success in this role.
