Job Description
Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This position requires flexibility and the ability to float between different units based on patient care needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care in the operating room setting.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during surgical procedures.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to facilitate smooth and effective operations.
• Monitor patient vitals and communicate any significant changes to the medical team.
• Assist in pre-operative and post-operative care.

Qualifications:

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Experience in the Operating Room (OR) setting preferred.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and on-call shifts.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well within teams.
• Proficient in patient assessment and critical thinking.

Schedule and Requirements:

• Shift: Daytime (4x10-hour shifts, 07:00 - 17:00)
• Role involves floating between units as required.
• On-call duties are expected, totaling 100 hours per 4-week schedule.
• Weekends may be scheduled as part of the on-call requirement.
• Travel between multiple locations within the region may be necessary.
• Must have a vehicle for this assignment.

Additional Information:

• Charting system used: Epic
• Scrub colors: Any color allowed; specialized scrubs provided for OR, Critical Care, ED, and Maternal Child.
• No parking fees for staff.
