Location: Union City, CA
Employment Type: Full-Time / Contract (Through January 31, 2027, with potential for extension or permanent conversion)
Schedule: 40 hours/week | Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Required)
Position Overview
We are urgently seeking a dedicated, compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) for a full-time temporary assignment at an adult care/senior center in Union City, CA. In this role, you will deliver specialized occupational therapy services to an elderly participant population, helping them improve functional mobility, maintain independence, and enhance overall quality of life. This role offers a steady schedule with the potential for contract extension or future conversion.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and evaluations for elderly participants.
- Develop, implement, and adjust individualized care plans aimed at improving activities of daily living (ADLs), functional mobility, and self-care skills.
- Provide direct OT treatments, recommend adaptive equipment, and suggest home/environmental modifications.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members, caregivers, and family members to ensure integrated participant care.
- Maintain complete, accurate, and timely clinical documentation in accordance with professional standards and organizational policies.
Key Requirements
- Licensure: Active state Occupational Therapist (OT) license (Required).
- Experience: Clinical practice experience working with the elderly / geriatric population (Required).
- Schedule: Ability to work 40 hours/week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Required).
- Language Skills: Bilingual in English and Cantonese or Mandarin (Preferred).
- Driver’s License: Valid Driver’s License (Preferred).
