Ocean Export Coordinator

Ocean Export Coordinator – Atlanta, Georgia – Salary: up to $65,000 This role is responsible for managing the full-cycle ocean export process, ensuring timely and compliant international shipments while delivering exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate has strong experience in ocean export operations within a freight forwarding environment and thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting. Salary up to $65,000 annually (commensurate with experience) Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and company holidays 401(k) with company match Professional growth opportunities within a stable and expanding organization Key Responsibilities Coordinate full-cycle ocean export shipments (FCL & LCL) from booking to final delivery Arrange bookings with ocean carriers and negotiate rates when necessary Prepare and process export documentation, including: Bills of Lading, Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Shipper’s Export Declarations (AES filings), Certificates of Origin Ensure compliance with U.S. export regulations and international trade requirements Communicate with shippers, overseas agents, carriers, truckers, and warehouses Track and trace shipments; proactively update customers on shipment status Manage invoicing, billing, and file profitability Resolve shipment issues, delays, or documentation discrepancies Maintain accurate records in the company’s transportation management system (TMS) Qualifications 2+ years of ocean export experience in a freight forwarding environment (required) Strong knowledge of international shipping documentation and Incoterms Experience with AES filings and U.S. export compliance regulations Familiarity with ocean carriers and routing practices Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook) Experience with CargoWise or similar freight forwarding software preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr People Freight | Freight Forwarding & Logistics Recruitment Specialists
