Shipping Clerk

Job Details Job Location: Modesto , CA 95358 Salary Range: $18.00 - $20.00 Hourly Job Shift: Day The SHIPPING OFFICE – CLERK will fulfill and process orders, accept incoming shipments, and provide clerical support to the shipping/receiving department. This role will provide a variety of clerical, recordkeeping, and customer service tasks to assist with the smooth operation of the department. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Compiles records and enters data to document inventory, ordering, receiving, storing, issuing, and shipping company products, and rework. Input orders from sales onto FAMOUS to maintain inventory needs. Data entry into spreadsheets to detail the delivery of pallets, the cross dock inventories stored, and release of packaging materials. Responsible for the reconciliation of these items at month end for the financial reporting process. Compiles data from sources such as purchase orders, invoices, requisitions, and accounting reports and writes, types, or enters information into computer to maintain inventory, purchasing, shipping, or other records. Keeps track of vegetable shipments and current stock. May determines suitability of goods to be shipped and schedules shipments accordingly. Determines that carriers and company drivers are correctly and properly loaded and supporting documents are correctly prepared and recorded for data verification and input. Greet Drivers to process their shipping needs. Manage Food Link online and ITRADE when applicable. Accepts, verifies, inspects, and records all deliveries according to policy. Processes invoices, supplying necessary data to accounting or other appropriate department for payment and recordkeeping. Verifies and records all items loaded for shipments. Maintains database of shipment data to ensure that customer orders are updated and that appropriate billing documents are provided to accounting or other associated departments as required. Loads trucks using a forklift. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned Qualifications High school diploma required. 1-2 years’ clerical experience in AG warehouse and/or food production is preferred Proficient in Microsoft office, with proficient Excel skills. Superior analytical and critical thinking skills Knowledge of SQL focus on relational databases Must be proficient in the use of standard software programs Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred but not required Proficient with inventory control systems. Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. #J-18808-Ljbffr
