Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to support the service, repair, and maintenance of premium door systems at customer locations throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. This role will be responsible for troubleshooting, adjusting, and repairing multi-slide and pivot door systems, ensuring proper functionality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, hands-on experience with building products, and the ability to independently diagnose and resolve installation, alignment, and performance issues in the field.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform service, adjustments, troubleshooting, and repairs on multi-slide and pivot door systems at residential and commercial customer locations.
• Conduct site assessments to identify mechanical, alignment, installation, and operational issues.
• Diagnose problems and complete warranty, maintenance, and service calls efficiently and professionally.
• Perform adjustments to door hardware, tracks, rollers, seals, and related components to ensure proper operation.
• Communicate directly with homeowners, builders, contractors, and internal teams regarding service findings and recommended solutions.
• Explain product operation, maintenance requirements, and care instructions to customers.
• Maintain accurate documentation of completed work, service reports, and materials used.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools, equipment, and company resources.
• Follow all safety procedures and industry best practices while working on job sites.
• Support continuous improvement efforts related to installation, service processes, and customer experience.

Required Qualifications

• Hands-on mechanical aptitude with experience servicing or installing doors, windows, glazing systems, or similar building products.
• Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, measuring equipment, and basic construction tools.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose mechanical, alignment, and performance issues in the field.
• Ability to read and interpret installation instructions, technical drawings, and product documentation.
• Strong customer service and communication skills when interacting with homeowners, builders, and trade partners.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple service appointments and priorities.
• Comfortable working on ladders, lifting/moving large door panels, and working in various weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to travel throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and surrounding areas.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior field service technician, construction, carpentry, glazing, or exterior building systems experience.
• Experience with high-end door systems, sliding doors, pivot doors, or architectural openings.
• Technical training or certifications in construction, carpentry, mechanical systems, or related fields.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical education is a plus.

Work Environment

• Full-time field-based position with daily travel to customer locations.
• Requires hands-on work in residential and commercial environments.
• Must be comfortable working independently and providing professional service directly to customers.
