Territory Sales Representative

Under the direction of the Regional Sales Manager, the Territory Sales Representative is responsible for servicing OrePac's top-tier customers.

Essential duties and responsibilities include identifying and supporting customer sales needs, representing OrePac during various customer events, driving and communicating outbound customer promotions, diagnosing and addressing potential and minor defects in the field, identifying and participating in opportunities for direct sales engagement, servicing accounts in person and via phone, tracking daily activities, gathering market data and competitor insight, developing a working relationship with OrePac Inside Sales Associates and support personnel.

Required skills include strong business acumen in regard to sales, ability to travel, drive and self-discipline, proactive and self-motivated personality, ability to foster a collaborative, team-based approach, ability to work with a diverse group of people, ability to write routine reports and correspondence, ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out instructions, commitment to high ethical standards, proficiency in the use of a personal computer, demonstrated time management and organizational skills, ability to communicate clearly and concisely in written and verbal formats, ability to speak effectively before groups, product familiarity and relevant industry experience, ability to comply with state auto insurance requirements and have a proven safe driving record, team player with demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with internal customers, strong customer service orientation, strong reading and interpretation skills.

Required education and experience includes a bachelor's degree in sales or a related field, and 1 to 3 years of relevant sales and industry experience.

Physical demands include standing, walking, sitting, seeing, talking, hearing, lifting, bending, reaching, and climbing.

Resources provided by the employee include a valid state driver's license, reliable personal vehicle, and auto insurance coverage.

Resources provided by OrePac include mileage and business use reimbursement, cell phone, laptop, and tablet.

Work environment includes a professional office environment and retail warehouse environment, use of standard office equipment, travel throughout the assigned territory, and dress code expectations.

Safety duties and responsibilities include reporting incidents and accidents, maintaining a safe work area, reporting and correcting unsafe working conditions, operating vehicles safely, providing assistance to reduce or eliminate workplace hazards, complying with company drug testing policies, and complying with company Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) policies.
