Job Description
Atlas Search is partnering with a growing, publicly traded digital infrastructure company that develops and operates data centers supporting AI and high-performance computing. They are hiring a Corporate Controller in New York. You will report directly to the CEO and own corporate accounting end to end: the close, multi-entity and intercompany accounting, and financial reporting. You will also lead a four-person offshore accounting team and build the systems, processes, and controls the function needs to scale. This is a hands-on role, with the opportunity to add US headcount as the business grows.
\n \nLocation : NYC (5 days/week onsite)
\n \nCompensation : $140,000 to $160,000
\n \nWhat You'll Do
\n- Own the monthly close, general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliations
\n- Oversee accounting across multiple entities, including intercompany activity and consolidated financial information
\n- Lead and develop a four-person offshore accounting team, setting clear priorities, deadlines, and review procedures
\n- Provide accurate, timely financial information to the CEO and help management understand business performance
\n- Establish and strengthen accounting policies, documentation, and internal controls
\n- Complete the rollout of Brex, including expense workflows, approval processes, and integration with accounting
\n- Improve the use of QuickBooks and supporting systems to increase accuracy, efficiency, and visibility
\n- Automate repetitive accounting tasks and put AI tools to practical use in daily workflows
\n- Support accounting for data center operations, development activity, and real estate transactions
\n- Coordinate with external accounting, audit, and tax providers
\n- Help assess staffing needs and build out US accounting capacity as the business expands
\n \nWhat We're Looking For
\n- 7+ years of progressive corporate accounting experience with hands-on ownership of the close and financial reporting
\n- Multi-entity and intercompany accounting experience
\n- Team management experience, ideally leading people across locations and time zones
\n- Experience implementing accounting, expense management, or related financial systems
\n- Real examples of using automation or AI to improve accounting workflows
\n- Strong accounting fundamentals and comfort working directly in the detail
\n- A builder's mindset: comfortable creating structure and process in an evolving environment
\n- Clear communicator who is confident working directly with the CEO
\n \nPreferred
\n- Real estate accounting experience (development, leasing, or property-level entities)
\n- QuickBooks experience (strongly preferred)
\n- Brex experience
\n- Startup or high-growth company background
\n \nThe Environment
\nA growing public company with a lean finance team and direct access to the CEO. This role is full-time in office in New York City, working Eastern business hours.
