Job Description

We are seeking a Survey Party Chief with 4 to 8 years of experience supervising a survey field crew. The role involves performing boundary and topographic surveys, construction stakeouts, monitoring, and as-built surveys.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a survey field crew in conducting boundary and topographic surveys.
• Perform construction stakeouts, monitoring, and as-built surveys.
• Ensure the precision and accuracy of survey data collected in the field.

Essential Skills

• 4 - 8 years of experience supervising a survey field crew.
• Proficiency in construction, land surveying, and stakeout.
• Experience with total station equipment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Strong construction experience.
• Ability to pass drug and record checks.
• Valid Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) required as you will be operating a company vehicle.

Work Environment

The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and maintain activity throughout the workday, including extended periods of walking. Candidates should be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions, with flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and travel for overnight or long-term project assignments as needed. The position offers premium compensation and standard holidays, as well as PTO during assignment. After 6 months, there is potential for conversion to a permanent position with an employee stock ownership program.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Frederick, MD.

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $32.00/hr.
