Associate Metrologist

Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks an Associate Metrologist for its Global Central Laboratory in Kentucky. The position involves maintaining and calibrating laboratory instruments, performing equipment qualifications, and supporting lab operations to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

Perform routine and remedial maintenance on laboratory instrumentation and equipment
Execute calibrations and qualifications including IQ, OQ, and PQ protocols
Oversee installation of new laboratory instruments and equipment
Review lab support records for SOP compliance and completeness
Address internal and external audit findings related to instruments and equipment

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent with relevant vocational qualification
Minimum 2 years of experience in laboratory instrument maintenance or related field
Understanding of FDA and GXP regulations
Working knowledge of laboratory instrumentation and equipment
Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
Legal US work authorization without sponsorship
