Job Description:


- Location: 7700 Floyd Curl Dr. San Antonio, TX 78229
- Shift: 18:30 - 07:00
- Unit Information:
- Pedi ED: 30 beds
- PICU: 24 beds
- PIMC: 24 beds
- Pedi Surg: 24 beds
- Pedi Onc/BMT: 24 beds
- Level 4 NICU: 92 beds


- Staffing:
- Number of Staff: 6-12 per shift
- Day Shift: 1 Supervisor/TL, 0.5 ED, 2-4 NICU, 1.5-2 PICU, 0.5-4.5 floors
- Night Shift: Same as day shift


- Patient Ratios: 30-40 units of therapy per shift


- Equipment:
- Servo U ventilator with NAVA
- Avea Ventilator
- V60 noninvasive
- Vapotherm
- Blender HFNC
- Vest CPT
- Redbox IPV
- MetaNeb
- Cough Assist
- Percussor CPT


- EMR: Meditech


- Typical Hiring Profile:
- Must Have: 6 months to 1 year of PICU or Level 3/Level 4 NICU experience
- Preferred: Candidates with additional skills will be prioritized


- Typical Procedures:
- Nebulizer therapy
- Airway clearance
- BiPAP
- Ventilator management
- HFNC
- Bronch assist
- ABG

- Required Certifications:
- CRT or RRT
- Texas RCP license
- BLS
- ACLS
- NRP
- PALS


- Floating Area(s): Voluntary to float to adults


- Dress Code:
- Scrub Color/Attire: Olive/Sage scrub top, black scrub bottom
- All black scrubs accepted (olive/sage may be hard to find)


- Weekend and On-Call Shifts:
- At least 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
- Does not have to be every other Saturday/Sunday


- General Comments:
