Shift Leader

A Shift Leader is responsible for supporting the management team in the execution of running their assigned location. This includes, but is not limited to: Responsibilities Coaching the staff to deliver amazing customer service. Producing high quality food. Delivering the Jersey Mikes experience. Cash handling. Following the Learning Management System Training Program. Developing others for career growth. Enforcing policies and procedures. Participating in local and national marketing initiatives. Building sales. Maintaining the cleanliness and proper sanitation practices in the establishment. Being certified in all four positions of the restaurant. Effective communication. Having a sense of urgency. Moving or transporting up to 50 pounds without assistance unless a medical notation is made, or a temporary doctor’s note with a time frame for restrictions applies. Working 38-40 hours per week. Having the ability to get to and from work. Communicating with the GM/AGM/DM regarding any issues. Leading by example in terms of quality of food, customer service interactions, and dressing in a clean, fitted, and pressed uniform daily. Creating food consistent with Jersey Mikes high quality standards. Maintaining the restaurant to be noticeably cleaner than others. Working in a fast-paced team driven atmosphere. Multitasking and working with a sense of urgency. Interfacing with customers and providing an exceptional experience. Understanding the term’s accountability and integrity. Serving as a key holder. Performing all tasks related to opening and closing of the store. Knowing how to bake bread and perform all prep. Managing and leading a crew of 2 to 5 people. Being proficient in slicing. Qualifications High school degree or equivalent. One year of QSR experience preferred. Must be 18 years or older to operate the slicer. Serve Safe Certification – Food Handler. Reliable transportation. Certificate in Food Protection – New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. #J-18808-Ljbffr
