Western States Lodging & Management is looking for an Accountant to oversee financial reporting for a portfolio of properties while serving as a trusted financial resource for operational leaders.This is an excellent opportunity to expand your expertise, work with a collaborative accounting team, and make a meaningful impact across a growing organization with operations in senior living, hospitality, multifamily housing, and commercial real estate.What's in it for you- Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive Pay - $55,000 – $65,000 annually.401(k) with a dollar-for-dollar company match up to 4%Hotel discounts at select Western States Lodging & Management propertiesEligible full-time associates are entitled to the following:Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance plans plus Health Savings Account (HSA) optionsOptional supplemental benefits, including accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity, and other coverage options.Personal Time Off (PTO) and Vacation benefitsWhat You'll DoPrepare and review monthly financial statements and management reports for assigned propertiesManage month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, amortizations, and account reconciliationsReconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepanciesPerform basic variance analysis by comparing actual results to budgets and prior periodsProcess intercompany transactions and assist with multi-entity accounting activitiesPartner with property leaders to review financial performance and answer accounting-related questionsAssist with reporting, special projects, and process improvement initiativesContinuously develop knowledge of accounting principles, systems, and company proceduresWhat Makes You SuccessfulBachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field preferred, or equivalent accounting experience0-4 years of accounting experienceUnderstanding of GAAP and accounting best practicesStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsExcellent organizational, communication, and time-management skillsAbility to prioritize multiple deadlines while maintaining accuracyProficiency with Microsoft Excel, including formulas such as SUM, COUNT, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and Logic formulasAbility to analyze financial information and identify discrepanciesEagerness to learn new accounting systems and develop professionallyNetSuite experience a plusYou Know You're Successful When...You consistently produce accurate work, meet deadlines, and help keep financial information organized and reliable.
