Forklift Operator

Position Summary:
The forklift operator will support production, and shipping/receiving operations by operating different types of forklifts such as G-5 Royal T-250, Hester Spacesaver, CAT T-50, and sit-down.

Essential Job Functions:
* Load trucks with finished sheet metal
* Load cut sheet material onto platforms for dispatch through the manufacturing lines
* Prepare finished goods for transfer to other departments
* Remove coil loads and other materials from trucks as they are delivered
* Transport unfinished and finished product throughout the plant and supply the production lines with raw materials
* Empty scrap tubs of metal waste
* Assist in taking inventory and prepare orders for shipment as needed

Job Requirements:
* Ability to demonstrate forklift driving experience and pass the certification test if not already certified

Experience/Education:
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Experience in a manufacturing facility
* 6 months-2 years of forklift driving work experience in a manufacturing/warehouse environment

Physical Requirements:
* Ability to kneel, stoop, crawl, squat, and stand for extended period, while running machinery up to 12 hours
* Ability to lift, push or pull up to 50 pounds
