As a Security Officer Armed Field Patrol in Alabaster, AL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. This role blends customer service, communication, and security-related presence with a team that is agile, reliable, and innovative, putting people first and acting with integrity every day.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations, helping to identify unusual activity and/or conditions that may require attention.
• Serve in an armed capacity in accordance with Allied Universal standards and site requirements, maintaining professional presence and following post orders during routine duties and/or emergency situations.
• Monitor access points and sensitive areas, helping to control entry and movement in accordance with location protocols while supporting a respectful environment for patients and/or healthcare personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• A concealed carry weapons permit is required.
• An armed guard card or license is required.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
