Step into a rewarding contract position supporting students from Pre-K through age 22 as an Occupational Therapist. This full-time opportunity places you within a vibrant educational community, where your expertise will make a significant impact across multiple campuses. You'll serve as an itinerant OT, traveling between elementary, middle, and high schools—keeping your workday dynamic and your clinical skills sharp.
What You'll Bring:
- Active clinical license issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR).
- Valid Illinois OT licensure.
- Previous school-based occupational therapy experience is highly desirable.
- Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Adaptability and enthusiasm for working across age groups and school environments.
- Willingness to complete fingerprinting for credentialing purposes.
What You'll Do:
- Provide direct therapy services to students, supporting developmental, sensory, and motor skills necessary for academic success.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team—including teachers, support staff, and families—to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Adapt activities and the learning environment to support student engagement and independence.
- Maintain accurate documentation of services provided, progress notes, and assessments.
- Travel as an itinerant provider to assigned schools within the district—with caseloads that vary by site and age group.
This role offers a consistent, full-time schedule (between 35-37.5 hours per week), with hours adapted to the varied start and end times of schools served. The assignment runs ASAP through June 9, 2027, offering the chance to build relationships and deepen your school-based experience over multiple academic years.
