Quality Manager

High-impact opportunity for a driven Quality Manager with a leading automotive supplier in the Stateline area. Qualified candidates will be collaborative team builders with automotive manufacturing sector quality management and leadership experience and will direct all quality assurance activities and staff at the plant.

This person will own the development and execution of all quality functions to ensure product compliance with applicable customer/regulatory specifications at the assigned facility and work cross-functionally with local and companywide leadership, internal/external customers, and regulatory agencies to ensure best in class performance, customer satisfaction, and quality assurance.


Responsibilities Include:

• Direct all quality activities and certifications for facility.
• Maintain internal audit functions to meet company and customer-specific quality standards and requirements. Regularly review all customer-specific and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance.
• Coordinate quality system activities with manufacturing, engineering, purchasing, sales, marketing, technical services and suppliers.
• Facilitate supplier development activities to ensure compliance to industry standards.
• Drive and coordinate actions to address and continuously improve customer satisfaction.
• Serve as a liaison between facility and customers on quality related and customer satisfaction issues. Conduct monthly review of customer ratings and update with correcting rating errors and performance improvement ratings with the goal of maintaining preferred/green supplier status.
• Analyze defect data, facilitate root cause identification, and prioritize and lead corrective action program to maximize process improvement rates.
• Support staff in PPAP and submissions and provide guidance for APQP process and manufacturing feasibility evaluation.
• Lead, direct, and monitor quality assurance department employees to strive for excellence. Review, mentor, and coach consistently and track progress.
• Serve as a member of the plant's management team, working collaboratively across all functional areas to accomplish business, productivity, safety, and quality objectives.

Requirements include:

• Bachelor's Degree in Quality, Engineering, or related field strongly preferred. Equivalent experience/education will be considered.
• 7+ years of progressive quality management experience in the automotive industry including experience in working with regulatory agencies and at least 5 years in a supervisory capacity. Automotive metal fabrication and/or components manufacturing experience is ideal.
• Hands-on experience in structured problem solving methodologies (e.g. APQP, FMEA, PPAP, SPC, MSA, Control Plans, ISO17025, TS16949).
• Outstanding communication and leadership skills to direct and support internal and external teams and customers.
• Ability to effectively direct quality assurance process.
• Proficient Microsoft Office, ERP/MRP, and quality documentation management skills.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Annual base salary range: $115,000 - 135,000, exempt, bonus eligible
