Quick Facts Location: Spartanburg, SC Start Date: 05/15/2026 End Date: Permanent Shift: Full-time, typically Monday–Friday with rotating call Hours/Week: Approximately 40 hours Employment Type: Full-time, permanent License/Certs: Board-certified/Board-eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine (must be completing fellowship or eligible for boards) Experience: Prior NICU leadership and clinical experience preferred Pay & Benefits Hourly pay rate: $1.00 (Competitive salary to be discussed at interview) Sign-on bonus available Relocation assistance offered Medical, dental, and vision insurance options Life and disability coverage Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA, DCFSA), HSA 401(k) retirement plan Employee Stock Purchase Program Voluntary benefits with payroll deduction Employer-paid benefits at no cost to employees Dedicated support from a team committed to your success What You’ll Do Lead and provide comprehensive neonatal care for a 35-bed Level III NICU Manage a high-acuity neonatal patient population with an average daily census of 25-29 infants Support approximately 370–400 NICU admissions and 3,400–3,900 deliveries annually Deliver advanced neonatal interventions such as high-frequency ventilation and therapeutic hypothermia Participate in well-baby rounding two weeks per month with the Family Medicine Residency Program Collaborate within a team of 4 Neonatologists with rotating service coverage Conduct every-other-night call coverage during service weeks Work alongside 24/7 Neonatal Nurse Practitioner support for continuous care Engage with pediatric subspecialists including pediatric cardiology, surgery, ophthalmology, and maternal-fetal medicine Provide leadership in a family-centered care environment within a top-tier regional referral center Support academic activities and clinical excellence in a collaborative setting What You Need Active medical license in South Carolina or eligible for licensure Board certification or eligibility in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Fellowship training completed or in progress in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Proven ability to manage high-acuity neonates and work within a multidisciplinary team Strong communication and leadership skills About the Assignment Join a leading facility in Spartanburg, South Carolina, renowned for its dedication to quality neonatal care and family-centered approach.
