TILE DISTRIBUTION - MATERIAL HANDLER II (2ND SHIFT)

Job Summary Dal-Tile is currently seeking an intermediate level Material Handler. Hours Monday‑Friday, 2:30 pm‑11 pm, with possible overtime and Saturday work. Responsibilities Operate various powered industrial trucks to pick customer orders and convey orders to packing station or shipping area. Pull/assemble customer orders, check outbound orders for accuracy/completeness, perform inventory stock checks, restock and label vendor product, maintain displays, move, store, replenish material, and conduct daily cycle counts. Receive and unload inbound material, process inbound shipments, stock material, process customer returns, and notify management of damaged shipments for freight claims. Operate forklift equipment. Maintain a clean and organized facility by sweeping, trash removal, restroom and general office maintenance, etc. Maintain a safe working environment by obeying all safety rules as outlined in the Safety Program and by reporting all accidents, unsafe conditions and acts to management. Perform other related duties as required. Requirements High School diploma or equivalent experience; Certified Sit‑Down Forklift Operator. 1+ years previous distribution/warehouse experience; minimum 6 months of stand‑up forklift or order picker equipment experience. No experience required for pallet jack. Competencies Good oral and written communication skills. Good record‑keeping skills. Good listening skills. Accurate measurement capability. Basic English language proficiency. Ability to work safely and conscientiously. Dal‑Tile certification to operate powered industrial trucks. Physical Requirements Regularly required to stand, use hands, reach with hands and arms; walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. May be required to sit, climb, or balance. May lift and move up to 75 lbs. Average picks per hour: 25; average weight 40‑70 lbs (50‑70 lbs 65% of shift, 20‑40 lbs 35%). May be exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, a range of temperatures, and loud noise. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
