Job Opportunity – Labor and Delivery RN – Alaska

Start Date: September 29, 2026

Location: Anchorage, Alaska

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 13-week assignment. Weekends scheduled as needed to fill unit needs. Floating to other units as PCT (patient care tech) may be required during low census.

Highlights:

• 7-bed Level 2 NICU LDRP unit (32 weeks gestation and 1500g minimum) using AWHONN acuity-based staffing ratios
• Comprehensive case mix including induction of labor, vaginal delivery, c-sections, tubal ligations, labor triage, antepartum care, D&C, vaginal repair, NST, IUFD management, steroid injections, and external cephalic version
• Epic EMR system with GE Centricity Perinatal equipment
• Night shift staffing includes 2 RNs and 1 OB Surgical Tech for collaborative team support
• 13-week travel assignment with scrubs provided (royal blue)
• Opportunity to utilize advanced skills including OR circulator experience and newborn resuscitation

Requirements:

• Active RN license
• Minimum 1 year Labor and Delivery experience required
• AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Certification required
• Labor triage experience (QMP) required
• OR circulator experience (c-section, tubal ligation, D&C, vaginal repair, etc.) required
• Newborn resuscitation experience (attending delivery for low-risk newborns) required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
• IUPC/FSE placement experience preferred
• Experience assisting with JADA/COOKS/BAKRI placement preferred
