Key Responsibilities

- Manage and support all phases of civil litigation matters, with a focus on medical malpractice defense and related claims.
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, memoranda, discovery, and other litigation documents.
- Prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, case conferences, and other litigation proceedings.
- Review, analyze, and summarize case documents, medical records, evidence, and expert materials.
- Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, experts, court personnel, and internal team members.
- Maintain organized case files, calendars, deadlines, and matter-related documentation.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Manage civil litigation matters from case development through hearings, depositions, and resolution.
- Draft pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, and other litigation-related documents.
- Review and analyze case evidence, medical records, discovery, and expert materials.
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and legal professionals throughout the litigation process.

- Admission to the Florida Bar is required.
- Approximately 2 to 10 years of litigation experience is required.
- Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and drafting skills.
- Experience taking depositions and attending hearings.
- Writing sample required.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and deadline management.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys, staff, and clients.
- Strong communication, professionalism, and interpersonal skills.
- Team-oriented approach with the ability to manage significant responsibility.

Preferred Qualifications

- Medical malpractice defense experience.
- Professional liability, healthcare defense, insurance defense, or other civil litigation defense experience.
- Experience handling complex case files and working with expert witnesses.
- Interest in building a long-term career within a respected defense litigation practice.
