Following up on Commercial claims status and denials. Researching claims to have processed in a timely manner. Duties: Taking care of all accounts with Commercial as their primary insurance. Works all above insurance denials. Must decide why a claim was denied, correct it if possible and re-file as soon as possible. Answer phone calls from the patients or other departments. File all supplement insurance claims, which involves matching the claims with the Commercial EOB’s and mailing them or filing electronically. Qualifications: High School graduate or equivalent. Computer experience. Must know how to use a CPT book and ICD-10 book. At least 2 - 4 weeks of training is required. At least one year follow-up experience on claims is desirable. Knowledge of medical and medical business office terminology. (EOB, RA, EFT, etc.) Job Title: CMA - WESTSIDE LOCATION - DR. TARPLEY Clinic Hours: FULL TIME WITH BENEFITS Summary: Must be a Certified Medical Assistant. Job Title: WORKERS' COMPENSATION/FMLA/DISABILITY CLERK Clinic Hours: M-F, 8-5 Summary: To assist patients in a courteous professional manner with the filing of their Workers' Compensation/FMLA/Disability forms. Obtaining necessary information and completing the form accurately to obtain payment for services rendered. Duties: Assist patients with Workers' Compensation/FMLA/Disability forms in a courteous manner. Verifies worker's compensation with employer or insurance company. Sets up worker's compensation account. Completes State required forms. Obtains and sends dictation regarding injury to appropriate place. Calls for claims and bills for services rendered. Conducts all worker's compensation insurance correspondence and disabilities. Posts payments on accounts and follows up on past due accounts. Prepares worker's compensation refunds. Makes corrections to worker's compensation accounts. Pre-certifies MRI’s, CT’s, general surgeries, ESI’s, NCV/EMG’s Set up appointments for final exams (impairment ratings) Qualifications: Pleasant, friendly disposition with the ability to work with patients, physicians and co-workers. Awareness of need for discretion and for keeping confidential all matters relating to the clinic, the employees and the patients. Intelligence to use judgement and initiative determining the course of action with workman's compensation claims. Ability to handle stressful situations while remaining calm. Tact and diplomacy in dealing with staff. Job Title: LVN/LPN OR CMA - INTERNAL MEDICINE - DR. POTTER Clinic Hours: M-F, 8-5 Summary: Under direct general supervision of Physician and/or Nurse Practitioner, the Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse (LVN/LPN) or CMA is to assist and perform general nursing duties in the course of providing care and treatment of patients in the office setting. Pleasant, courteous disposition with the ability to work with patients as well as employees and physicians. Professional in conduct and appearance. Qualifications: Current licensure with the State Of Texas. Computer knowledge. Good interpersonal skills. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification. Must have experience with order entry and working in a very busy fast paced office. EXPERIENCE in Internal Medicine/Family Practice, extensive knowledge of medications, familiar with use of electronic medical record preferred. Must be willing to work late.
