Communications Coordinator
The Town of Hamilton is seeking a highly organized, creative, and detail-oriented Communications Coordinator to support the Town’s internal and external communications efforts. This part-time role is ideal for someone passionate about public service, community engagement, storytelling, and digital communications.
Compensation: $28.36 – $29.50 DOQ
Hours: Up to 19 hours per week
Department: Town Administration
Status: Non-Exempt
Responsibilities Include:
- Managing and updating the Town website
- Creating press releases, newsletters, and public notices
- Managing social media platforms and public engagement
- Supporting communication strategies across departments
- Coordinating communications for Town events and emergency notifications
- Assisting with branding, messaging, and community outreach
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or related field preferred
- Two to three years of communications or public relations experience
- Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills
- Experience with social media and website content management
- Municipal experience preferred
