Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Step Down Unit position requiring 2-3 years of ICU or step down experience, working night shifts on a 13-week contract in Ohio.
Details
- Step down unit in a hospital setting
- Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (3x12-hour shifts)
- Patient ratios are acuity-based, with typical assignments of 1:2 for critically ill patients and 1:3-4 for lower-acuity patients
- Rotating every 3rd weekend required
- Holiday rotation required
- Floating required in rotation with staff and based on clinical experience
- Epic EMR experience preferred
Requirements
- Active OH RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Minimum 2-3 years of ICU or step down nursing experience required
- Experience managing multiple patients simultaneously required
- Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
- Two professional references required for consideration
Additional Information
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
- RTO requests must be approved prior to assignment start; no RTO preferred during the first two weeks
- Artificial nails, gel polish, and dip nails are not permitted
- Candidates must reside more than 80 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates; local candidates are accepted
