Machine Operator Assistant Manual Labor Hudson, MA, US 7 days ago Requisition ID: 1082 Salary Range: $17.00 To $20.00 Annually Position Title: Machine Operator Assistant Reports to: Production Supervisor Direct Reports (Yes/No): No Location: Hudson, MA Job Summary: The duties of the Machine Operator Assistant will be to process quality inspections, run an extrusion line and pack and record data of products. This position will work closely with the production supervisor or manager. Duties/Responsibilities: Understand, support, and comply with the Company Quality System requirements. Maintain a safe and clean work environment. Follow the standard operating procedures and written work instructions. Openly communicate with the Company team members. Work with Supervisor, and other production associates to produce customer products while ensuring that Quality, production requirements and goals are achieved. Complete required documentation relating to work instructions and/or inspection requirements. Perform production tasks of Inspection and packaging using calipers, pin gages and thickness gages. Comply with all safety rules, policies, and procedures. Understand blueprints and or inspection sheet quality requirements. Report problems or concerns with quality, processes, equipment, materials, and labor Support continuous improvement efforts with Production Supervisor or Manager. Take on special projects as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, work instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate effectively through oral and written communications. Ability to access, open, and save files to a computer and complete applicable paperwork Ability to work with others collaboratively. Ability to learn new tasks quickly. Attention to detail to understand and meet the requirements. Strong organizational skills. Ability to work in cleanroom environment (ISO Class 8) Ability to perform repetitive tasks Demonstrated problem solving ability in a cross functional environment. Experience with use of calipers, pin gauges, snap (thickness) gauges is preferred. Take responsibility for task and time management. Education and Experience: Experience with working to time standards preferred. High School graduate. Physical Demands: Full range of motion for wrist, hand, and finger dexterity. Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and crouch. Ability to regularly lift/push/carry on average up to 45 pounds.
