Job Description
The Senior Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of manufacturing and packaging machinery within a food manufacturing environment. This position focuses on maintaining and repairing equipment including manufacturing machinery, electrical systems, and HVAC systems. Working within a small maintenance team, the technician provides expert troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and supports junior staff while occasionally being on-call to address urgent issues. Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are essential to effectively communicate across the team.
Responsibilities
- Repair and maintain manufacturing, electrical, and HVAC equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance to minimize equipment downtime
- Troubleshoot technical issues and implement effective solutions
- Document maintenance activities and system inspections accurately
- Inspect systems regularly to identify potential failures
- Provide technical support to the maintenance team
- Train and mentor junior maintenance staff
Preferred Qualifications
- 7+ years experience in maintenance technology
- Expertise in mechanical repair and problem-solving
- Effective communication skills in both English and Spanish
- Strong time management abilities
