About the Role As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) , you'll play a vital role in supporting adults with autism in a residential home setting. Every day is an opportunity to make a positive impact by helping residents build independence, confidence, and life skills while ensuring their health, safety, and well-being. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Providing direct care and supervision in a residential home Assisting with personal care and daily living activities Administering and documenting medications Teaching and reinforcing independent living and life skills Providing transportation to appointments and community activities Completing required documentation accurately and professionally Supporting the overall day-to-day operation of the residence Who We're Looking For The individuals we support depend on caring professionals who are patient, reliable, and committed to making a difference. Whether you're experienced or new to the field, we'll provide the training you need to succeed. We're looking for team members who are: Compassionate and caring Dependable and responsible Willing to learn and grow Strong communicators with sound judgment and professionalism Passionate about supporting individuals with autism Flexible in-person interviews are available Monday through Friday at our administrative office in Morganville. NHIA provides extensive hands-on training to ensure every Direct Support Professional has the knowledge, confidence, and skills needed to provide exceptional care and support. Qualifications High School Diploma, GED, or higher degree (diploma or transcripts required) Must be at least 20 years of age Valid, non-probationary New Jersey driver's license Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing Ability to interact professionally and respectfully with individuals with autism Must successfully complete all pre-employment requirements, including: Central Registry CARI DMV Check Drug Screening Physical Examination PPD Testing Starting Pay: $19.00 per hour All Employees Receive Paid Training Paid Sick Time Employee Referral Bonus Multiple Tuition Discount Programs Paid Time Off Paid Sick Time Flexible Spending Account (FSA) 401(k) with Company Match Voluntary Supplemental Insurance through Allstate Overtime Opportunities (when available) Career Growth and Advancement Opportunities—we proudly promote from within!
