Radiologic Technologist

Job Overview As a radiologic technologist, you assess patients and safely perform routine radiographic procedures in accordance with prescribed safety procedures and protocols. You serve as a clinical mentor for junior staff and students. Benefits Sign‑On Bonus: Up to $20,000 to eligible candidates. Referral Bonus: Up to $5,000 to eligible candidates. Education Completion of an approved radiologic technology program. Work Experience Required: None. Preferred: Radiologic technology experience. Certifications Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or ARRT registry eligible, registered by the ARRT within 90 days of employment, and temporary state license required. Current unrestricted license in the state of practice. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) Proficiency in using computers, software, and web‑based applications. Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to work a flexible work schedule (e.g., 24/7, weekend, holiday, on‑call availability) and travel throughout and between facilities. Job Duties Verify physician order and procedure to ensure accuracy. Use radiology information systems to facilitate care. Explain procedure to patient to ensure understanding. Independently operate equipment to complete imaging procedure according to protocol (may include placement of nasogastric tubes, IVs, urinary catheters, and administration of contrast). Review patient images prior to transmission to ensure images meet diagnostic quality standards. Complete timely quality control procedures in accordance with regulatory standards and perform notification/remediation as warranted. Assist in the facilitation of departmental operations (inventory, staff schedules, equipment maintenance, etc.). Adapt behavior to the specific patient population, including but not limited to respect for privacy, method of introduction to the patient, adapting explanation of services or procedures, requesting permissions, and communication style. Perform other related duties as required. Physical and Environmental Demands Heavy Work – Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Duties performed routinely require exposure to blood, body fluid and tissue. The incumbent works in a patient care area, with potential exposure to communicable diseases and hazardous medications or waste.
