Deputy Court Clerk Intern - PTThe City of Doraville is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Deputy Court Clerk Intern to support the daily operations of the Municipal Court. This role provides hands-on experience in courtroom administration, record management, customer service, and legal documentation. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, and eager to learn about municipal court processes.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Assist in maintaining and organizing court records, files, and documentation.Provide customer service to the public, including answering questions and guiding visitors through court procedures.Process payments for fines, fees, and other court-related transactions.Prepare and distribute court calendars, notices, and other correspondence.Support court staff during hearings, including data entry and file retrieval.Enter case information and updates into the court's case management system.Ensure confidentiality and accuracy of all court-related information.Perform general administrative duties such as filing, scanning, copying, and answering phones.Assist with additional tasks as assigned by court staff or supervisors.Minimum Qualifications:High school diploma or GED required; college coursework or enrollment preferred.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency with basic computer applications (Word, Excel, email systems).Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality.Interest in public administration, legal studies, or criminal justice is a plus.Working Conditions:Work is typically performed in an office environment.At-Will Employment:This classification specification does not constitute an employment agreement between the employer and employee and is subject to change by the employer as the needs of the employer and requirements of the position change.Employment with the City of Doraville is at-will in accordance with Georgia law.Equal Opportunity:The City of Doraville is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
