Job Details Level: Entry Job Location: Menlo Park, CA 94025 Position Type: Full Time Education Level: High School Salary Range: $18.00 - $23.00 Hourly Travel Percentage: None Job Shift: Any Job Category: Health Care JOB DESCRIPTION Medication Technician Position Summary Under the direction of Director of Nursing, the Medication Technician performs tasks that involve specific supportive services for residents, pouring dispensing and charting medications, vital signs, general charting of resident’s condition and completion of a variety of forms. Responsibilities Pour, pass, and chart medications. Perform accucheck. Always preserve the dignity and self-respect of all residents. Practice confidentiality regarding residents and their records. Keep alert to residents’ conditions. Report changes in residents’ attitude, appearance, behavior or physical abilities to supervisor. Promptly answer call lights. Complete appropriate paperwork such as charting and incident reports. Attend all training and in-services required. Ordering medications. Contacting Doctors and outside agencies. Qualifications Ability to read, write and speak English. Ability to follow written and verbal directions. Ability to conform to requirements of dress code and personal hygiene standards. Ability to cooperate with other employees. Ability to do extensive bending, lifting and standing on a regular basis. Pleasant, tactful, and courteous. High school Graduate. Must have first aid training and CPR certificates. Must have acceptable references. Must have current physical exam and TB test.
