The Kettering Co-op Student supports departmental projects and day-to-day operations by applying academic knowledge in a professional environment. Working under the guidance of experienced team members, the student gains hands‑on experience while contributing to engineering, IT, manufacturing, or business initiatives. The Role: Your work will include, but not be limited to: Support team projects, assignments, and operational activities. Assist with data analysis, documentation, reporting, and process improvements. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to meet project objectives. Participate in problem‑solving efforts and provide recommendations. Develop technical and professional skills through hands‑on learning and mentorship. Follow company policies, procedures, and safety standards. Qualifications: Currently enrolled in Kettering University’s Cooperative Education Program. Pursuing a degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. This role provides students with practical industry experience while contributing to Lear’s business objectives and innovation efforts.
