Setup/Service Technician

Set up new equipment and maintain, diagnose, and repair consumer small engine equipment (such as small tractors, mowers, and related equipment), Fisher plows & sanders and outdoor recreational vehicles.

St. Albans, Vermont

Tasks

• Set up new equipment for product display or sale to consumers.
• Assemble, install and repair Fisher plows, sanders, and salters.
• Prepare cost estimates for repairs.
• Test and inspect the unit to determine malfunctions, locate missing and/or broken parts, and to verify repairs, using diagnostic instruments if needed.
• Assemble and repair ATVs and side-by-sides which may include, but not limited to: adjust valves, carburetors, distributors, and spark plug gaps, using feeler gauges.
• Remove, dismantle and reassemble engines using hand tools, and examine parts for defects.
• Repair or replace defective parts.
• Perform routine maintenance such as cleaning and servicing.
• Record repairs made, time spent, and parts used with proper documentation.
• Show customers how to maintain equipment.
