Guest Resource Specialist

We are looking for a Guest Resource Specialist who enjoys helping people, providing excellent customer service, and connecting individuals with the support and resources they need to succeed.

Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Starting Pay: $23/hour

What You’ll Do

As a Guest Resource Specialist, you’ll be one of the first points of contact for guests. You’ll create a welcoming environment while helping individuals navigate employment services and community resources.

Responsibilities include:

• Welcome and assist guests in a friendly, professional manner.
• Assess guest needs and connect individuals with appropriate programs and community resources.
• Provide orientations for new clients, both individually and in groups.
• Help clients with resumes, job searches, forms, computer resources, and employment-related needs.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of community resources and referral services.
• Document guest interactions, referrals, and services provided.
• Respond to guest questions and concerns and escalate issues when needed.
• Provide general administrative and clerical support.
• Work with staff and community partners to support clients and program goals.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
• Follow program, safety, and documentation requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of experience in customer service, social services, workforce development, education, business development, or a related field.
• Experience working with people from diverse backgrounds.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
• Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and data entry.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus but not required.
• Must successfully pass a background check.

Work Environment & Requirements

• Primarily office-based, with the ability to work remotely as needed.
• May require travel to partner agencies throughout Southwest Washington.
• Moderate to loud noise levels may occur.
• Must be able to participate in meetings and activities at partner locations.
• Must be able to visually observe and physically respond to interactions between people.
