About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Two (2) years of Emergency Department experience with adult and pediatric populations within the last three years License: State RN or Compact RN license required Certifications: BLS, PALS, ACLS (AHA only), TNCC required Must-Have: Epic experience required Description: Nights, 12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30. Weekend rotation including holidays as needed. Traveler will be required to pass a telemetry test prior to being cleared to start. The emergency department provides comprehensive emergency care to a significant number of patients annually. It serves as a critical entry point to the health system, working to rapidly stabilize patients for admission or transfer across the broader continuum of care. The department is designated as a Level IV Trauma Center and an Acute Stroke Ready Center, and it has been recognized as a Pediatric Ready Emergency Department. These designations ensure timely, evidence-based care for patients across the lifespan and for a wide range of clinical presentations. The department includes exam rooms with the ability to flex additional spaces to meet surges in demand and maintain efficient patient flow during periods of high volume. The team coordinates closely with ambulance services to provide seamless care for critically ill and injured patients from the field through definitive care. Staff serve as the rapid response team, delivering emergent assessment and intervention throughout the facility. Travelers will be required to float as needed. Minimum experience: Inpatient RN travelers must have two years of acute care experience within the last three years in the specialty they are submitting to. Pass/fail testing is required with strict passing criteria. A telemetry exam will be required prior to start. Travelers will have two attempts to pass the telemetry exam; if they do not pass after two attempts, further steps will be required. The assignment will be canceled if the traveler does not pass after three attempts.
