Lead Software Engineer - SDET with Playwright

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, with 5+ years of applied experience.
• Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages, including Python, Java, and Playwright.
• Experience leading the use of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools for coding, code review, test acceleration, and troubleshooting, and setting expectations for validating AI-generated outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, and security and resiliency requirements; experience coaching engineers on safe, compliant adoption.
• Proficiency across the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Advanced understanding of agile practices, including continuous integration and continuous delivery, application resiliency, and security.
• In-depth knowledge of financial services and its IT systems.
• Practical cloud-native experience.
• Ability to work independently, show resourcefulness, and navigate a large organization.
• Experience managing senior stakeholders and automation testers, with strong influencing and negotiation skills and a collaborative approach to automation across organizational boundaries.
• Preferred: Payments business knowledge, including client-facing channels.
• Preferred: Strong test automation experience in QA or UAT.

• Design, develop, and troubleshoot software solutions, using creative approaches to address technical challenges.
• Lead end-to-end test automation for the Digital Onboarding team, covering new and existing bank clients and products across multiple client-facing channels.
• Lead software engineers and SDETs in delivering, executing, validating, and troubleshooting work throughout software release cycles.
• Develop secure, high-quality testing code and review and debug colleagues code.
• Promote enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes, including code review, refactoring, test strategy, and incident and root-cause analysis.
• Set consistent validation standards for secure coding, peer review, and automated testing, and encourage reuse of effective practices.
• Use Software Development Life Cycle tools, including authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to increase the value of automation.
• Identify recurring issues and opportunities to prevent or automate remediation, improving application and system stability.
• Lead internal reviews of architectural designs and technical credentials, assessing their suitability for existing systems and information architecture.
• Manage stakeholders through executive communications and presentations.
