Lowboy Driver - CDL Class A

Western Engineering Co Inc is looking for a qualified Class A CDL Lowboy Driver to join our dedicated team. In this critical position, you will be responsible for the transportation of asphalt paving equipment and machinery using a lowboy trailer to various job sites. Safety and precision are paramount, as you will be maneuvering significant loads while adhering to all federal and state regulations. Responsibilities Transport heavy equipment and machinery using a lowboy trailer to and from job sites in a safe and efficient manner Transport portable asphalt plant pieces from one plant site to another in a safe and efficient manner Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and trailer, ensuring compliance with safety standards Secure loads appropriately to prevent damage during transport Communicate effectively with project managers and site personnel regarding delivery schedules and requirements Adhere to all transportation laws and regulations, and ensure compliance with company policies Load and unload equipment as necessary Report any maintenance or repair needs for the vehicle in a timely manner Requirements Valid Class A CDL license with a clean driving record Proven experience as a lowboy driver or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of heavy equipment transportation Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices Ability to travel as needed for the position Excellent communication skills Ability to work independently and make sound decisions while on the road Physical ability to handle equipment loading/unloading and secure heavy loads Pass pre-employment drug screening Benefits ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan) – the chance to be an employee owner $500 sign on bonus Competitive wages Paid Holidays Weekly pay Medical insurance available through Blue Cross Blue Shield with dental and vision also available 401K plan with company match Achievement points system for rewards A culture that promotes opportunities for growth, development and internal promotions #J-18808-Ljbffr Western Engineering Company
