IT Project Manager for Electronic Health Record System ImplementationThe primary objective of this role is to serve as the IT Project Manager for the Bureau of Community Health Systems (BCHS), leading the implementation of an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system for 59 State Health Centers (SHCs) and clinical staff in BCHS, the Bureau of Immunizations (BOI), and the Bureau of Communicable Diseases (BCD).Responsibilities:Lead the implementation of an EHR system, transitioning from a paper-based charting system.Direct, administer, manage, and facilitate enhancements and re-engineering of business processes for developmental projects.Manage the complete life cycle of projects, including planning, design, programming, testing, and implementation of business solutions.Develop and maintain detailed project management plans and schedules.Ensure project completion within schedule, budget, and quality requirements.Monitor project milestones, phases, and budgets, taking corrective actions as needed.Coordinate system testing and deliver presentations as necessary.Communicate effectively with stakeholders, team members, and vendors.Mentor less experienced project management staff.Identify, track, and manage project risks and issues, developing mitigation strategies.Ensure project compliance with standards and procedures.Provide weekly project updates and status reports.Qualifications:Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI) for at least 5 years (must upload a valid copy with submission).Seven to nine years of relevant project management experience.Experience with EHR and/or EMR, health informatics, and health IT.Experience with organizational change management (OCM) is preferred.Must be able to work in the Harrisburg office two days a week as required.Familiarity with public health programs and issues is a plus.Location:Harrisburg, Pennsylvania is a vibrant city known for its rich history, cultural attractions, and scenic beauty.
