Job Details:

• Work night shifts with weekend requirements based on unit needs and demands
• Weekend requirement: every other weekend
• Must work holidays in November/December; manager will consider 1 of the 3 holidays if it doesn't conflict with unit demands
• Patient ratios: 1:3, if low acuity 1:4
• Minimum 1 year of experience in larger trauma settings required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, TNCC, PALS or ENPC, NIHSS
• WA or Compact License required
• Manager will call for phone interview after profile review
• Work in 56-bed ER/Trauma Center with additional hall beds bringing capacity to 60-70 beds
• Fast track area with 6 beds available
• Separate triage area with 5 beds; travelers can take triage test and may be assigned
• 18 designated holding beds within ED for inpatients awaiting bed placement
• ER RNs manage their own ER holds
• Separate locked psychiatric hall with 6 private treatment rooms
• Approximately 170-200 patients per day
• Common diagnoses: Cardiac, Stroke, Sepsis, DKA, AMS, Respiratory, Abdominal pain, Mental Health
• Work with Epic EMR system
• Professional colored scrubs required
• 1 day compliance orientation (8-10 hours) and 1 day department orientation (12 hours)
• No floating requirements
• No call or standby requirements
• BSN not required
• No RTO will be considered the first full week of assignment

The facility features separate areas for triage, fast track care, and psychiatric treatment, along with dedicated holding areas for inpatient placement. The organization maintains high patient volume with robust support services including in-house security, monitor technicians, respiratory therapists, and adjacent radiology services to ensure comprehensive emergency care.
