- Craft Tailored Treatment Plans: Assess each patient's unique needs and formulate individualized therapy plans that help them achieve their personal and functional objectives
- Implement Therapeutic Strategies: Apply scientifically validated approaches to enhance patients' motor functions, cognitive skills, and daily activities
- Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Teams: Work synergistically with OTs, PTs, STs, physicians, and nursing staff to ensure a well-rounded and holistic approach to patient care
- Educate Patients and Families: Teach patients and their support systems about therapy techniques to continue progress outside of sessions
- Track and Document Achievements: Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans when necessary, keeping patients on track towards their goals
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Ongoing education and post-graduate certifications are encouraged and nurtured
- Active Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license
- NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification is required
- A strong desire to support individuals in achieving their utmost independence
- Empathetic communication skills, essential for interacting with both patients and team members
- Creative problem-solving abilities to tailor interventions based on diverse patient needs
- Confidence to work independently as well as collaboratively within a cohesive team
