Acute Care Physical Therapist (PT)

Location: Lubbock, TX

Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: Day Shift

Requirements:

Active Physical Therapist (PT) license as required by state regulations
Minimum 1 year of Acute Care Physical Therapy experience
First-time travelers accepted
Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills
Ability to work independently in an acute care setting

Responsibilities:

Evaluate, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans for acute care patients
Assess patient mobility, strength, balance, and functional abilities
Provide therapeutic interventions to improve mobility and overall function
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care
Educate patients and families on treatment plans, exercises, and discharge recommendations
Document evaluations, treatments, and patient progress accurately in the medical record
Ensure compliance with facility policies and professional practice standards

Assignment Details:

No floating required
No on-call responsibilities
No weekend requirements
One patient at a time treatment model (1:1 care)

Preferred Qualifications:

Acute care hospital experience
Excellent communication and patient education skills
Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities
