SALARY (Non-negotiable) $34,632 - $46,078 with benefits package (Based on verifiable experience in field) Paygrade 7 HOURS 37.5 hours, 12 months (260 days) Bargaining Unit: This position is part of the non-supervisory Support Services collective bargaining unit FLSA: Non exempt QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma. Post secretarial training a plus. Five (5) years office experience. Applicable post-secondary training may be accepted in lieu of experience. Capacity to act independently with regard to continuing assignments requiring the organization of materials, handling of routine administrative details, preparation of reports, and sound decision-making. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality. Ability to use advanced features of Microsoft Word (i.e. merges, tables, sorting, labels, etc.), Excel, One Note, PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook and to learn new software applications related to the position. Thorough knowledge of business English, spelling, and punctuation. Ability to interact in a positive manner with staff, educators, and the general public, and communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Good organizational and self-starter skills with ability to meet deadlines. RESPONSIBILITIES Provide administrative support for the Human Resources Department.

Greet and direct visitors, answer inquiries concerning activities and accept, screen and route telephone calls.

Compose memos to school personnel.

Maintain Human Resources website, update content, and publish weekly HR Headlines.

Maintain confidential files.

Sort, screen and distribute mail, draft responses to routine inquires, and operate a variety of office equipment.

Communicate with school staff, applicants, and personnel from other agencies.

Maintain office records, files, and reports in an efficient manner. Compile information for various projects. Perform related work as required.
