Backup Shipping Coordinator

Quanex is looking for a Backup Shipping Coordinator to join our team in Mounds View, Minnesota. In this role you are responsible for performing assigned production functions in a safe manner to consistently meet production standards and quality requirements. You will also back up the Shipping department, as needed, by organizing finished product, loading trucks, and transferring material. We Offer You!

What’s attractive about the Production Associate position?

• 5:00 AM - 2:30 PM (Monday - Thursday) + 6:00 AM - 10:00AM (Friday, as needed)
• No Weekends

What Success Looks Like: * Has moderate computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

• Follows all safety procedures, rules, and guidelines.
• Monitors product to ensure quality standards are being met and rejects

product that does not meet quality standards. * Keeps the work area in a neat and orderly condition in compliance with 5S standards. * Accurately, thoroughly, and legibly completes production reports and other documentation.

• Promotes teamwork by cooperating and supporting co-workers.
• Assists in other work areas when the workload permits or requires.

What You Bring:

• High school education or equivalent preferred.
• At least 3 years of related warehouse and inventory experience.
• At least 6 months of forklift experience; ability to pass OSHA required

practical and written exams. * At least 6 months of production, assembly, or related work experience preferred. The starting hourly rate is $18.49 to $27.74, depending on experience, with the possibility of up to a $1 pay increase after 90 days.
