Patient Account RegistrarWe are seeking a Patient Account Registrar, sometimes referred to as a Hospital Admission Representative. The Patient Account Registrar collects and verifies patient demographic and insurance information while ensuring eligibility, benefits, and authorizations are accurately obtained. The Patient Account Registrar collaborates closely with the Admitting team and communicates effectively with patients across all age groups.ResponsibilitiesInterview patients or authorized representatives to gather accurate demographic and insurance informationVerify insurance eligibility, benefits, and required authorizationsEnter and retrieve patient data using computerized systemsCommunicate clearly with patients using age-appropriate techniques across all life stagesSupport Admitting department operations, including reception, PBX functions, and special assignmentsQualificationsEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING 1. Previous hospital experience as an admissions representative preferred. 2. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred. 3. Effective written and verbal communication skills 4. Ability to multi-task, prioritize needs to meet required timelines 5. Analytical and problem-solving skills 6. Customer Services experience required 7.
