District Manager Retail The District Manager Retail is responsible for the overall sales execution of business objectives within their assigned territory. In this key leadership role, the District Manager supports client programs by managing the sales execution teams dedicated to in‑store programs. The position drives execution results through hands‑on management of teams, objectives, training and close coordination with peer management and support teams. Responsibilities Retail Execution Management In‑field coaching of all designated associates in district Maximize execution within the district through effective results management using regular team calls, one‑on‑one coaching, telephone, email, and in‑person training, supported by a peer trainer Meet each client’s execution expectations by providing reporting to impacted associates Effectively schedule, manage, and execute all client programs Effective hiring, schedule management, training, personnel development, and program oversight of all programs in the district and future roles, including succession planning Results Management Actively manage flawless execution through proactive hiring, training, scheduling, supervision, and in‑store oversight Project a positive image in representing the Company to clients and the community Promote client priorities in store Deliver team training content in settings from one‑on‑one to large group presentations Team Management Regularly conduct coaching sessions with associates to discuss strategies for ongoing demonstration and improvement, as well as regular visits regarding coaching, accountability, and motivation Communicate with the support team within the assigned district to address support issues and discrepancies, determining appropriate mode of communication based on the nature of the issue Utilize reporting to review the sales team’s results, monitor un‑staffed locations, and assess trends Train associates in store relationship building, product knowledge, and selling skills Recruit, interview, hire, and schedule direct reports Conduct employee evaluations and performance reviews Identify succession candidates to support future business growth Additional responsibilities as assigned by one’s supervisor or other manager related to the position or department. Supervisory Responsibilities Direct Reports : Hires, retains, trains, coaches, guides, directs, and develops direct reports using company‑wide processes, tools, and resources. Indirect Reports : May delegate work of others and provide guidance, direction, and mentoring to indirect reports. Travel and/or Driving Requirements Travel and driving are essential duties and functions of this job. The position requires travel or driving up to 60% of the time. Minimum Qualifications Education: Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience (required). Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience (preferred). 2–4 years of experience in retail management, including hiring, managing part‑time employees, demonstration or marketing, results reporting, inventory, merchandising, and training. Skills, Knowledge & Abilities Ability to direct, lead, coach, and develop people. Good interpersonal skills. Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and web browsers. Ability to complete multiple duties with accuracy while shifting from one task to another amid frequent interruptions and competing deadlines. Well‑organized, detail‑oriented, and able to handle a fast‑paced work environment. Skill in supervising, including delegating responsibility, training, and evaluating performance. Ability to work effectively with management. Environmental & Physical Requirements Office/Sedentary requirements: The incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work is primarily performed in an office environment, with 66%+ of each workday spent on physical activity, lifting or pushing up to 50 pounds, standing, and engaging in demonstration activities that may involve cooking or handling food products. The position may require working in extremely cold conditions (refrigerated and freezer sections) and requires adherence to safety practices when handling products or cooking.
