ICU Registered Nurse (RN)
We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to join our High Acuity Float Pool. This position involves providing high-quality patient care across various specialized units, requiring a strong background in critical care nursing.
Job Details
- Unit Type: ICU (Intensive Care Unit)
- Shift Length: 12 hours
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Shift Notes: Days 7 AM - 7:30 PM; Weekend Requirements: 3 weekend shifts per schedule
- Location: City, State
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care to critically ill patients within the High Acuity Float Pool, including various units such as Critical Care, Observation, Med Surg, General Surgery, Ortho Surgery, Short Stay Surgery, Thoracic Surgery, Neurosurgery, Oncology, Telemetry, and Progressive Care.
- Manage nurse-to-patient ratios, typically 1-2, depending on patient acuity.
- Titrate medications and manage vent, BiPAP, and CPAP equipment effectively.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience, with a preference for candidates with high acuity experience.
- Must possess valid BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
- EPIC experience is required.
- Prior floating experience in float pools or similar settings is essential.
- Washington or Compact Nursing License.

- Orientation: General Hospital Orientation, unit-specific training, and validation classes.
- Nurse Aids: Available, ratios dependent on daily census.
- Self-Scheduling: Flexible scheduling options are available.
- Holiday Requirements: Compliance with holiday scheduling is necessary.
- Dress Code: Royal Blue scrubs required.
